Players

Admins can add players from the Players page by clicking Add Player.

• Name — The player's full name (required).
• Email or Phone — At least one is recommended for auto-linking when the player creates an account.
• Teams — Assign the player to one or more teams if your club runs multiple squads. Players who turn out for more than one team (e.g. 1st team and reserves) can be assigned to both.

When a player later registers on PayUp and joins your club, their account is automatically linked to the player record you created — as long as the email, phone, or name matches. This means all existing payments will appear on their dashboard immediately.

Tap any player on the Players page to open their detail page.

• Balance summary — Total owed, total paid, and outstanding amount.
• Payments list — Every payment assigned to this player, with reason, amount, date, game, and status.
• Linked status — Whether the player has linked their PayUp account (green "Linked" badge) or not (amber "Unlinked").

Admins can perform additional actions from the player detail page:

• Edit player details — Update name, email, or phone.
• Mark payments as paid — Record a manual payment for one or more payments.
• Edit payments — Change the reason, amount, date, or linked game.
• Void payments — Cancel payments that shouldn't count.
• Link/unlink account — Manually associate or disassociate a member account with this player record.

In PayUp, there are two types of records: player records (created by admins) and member accounts (user accounts on PayUp).

A linked player has a PayUp account connected to their player record. This means:

• They can sign in and see their own payments on the dashboard.
• They can pay payments online (if enabled).
• Their profile updates sync between their account and player record.

Linked players show a green "Linked" badge on the Players page.

An unlinked player is a player record that hasn't been connected to a PayUp account. This is normal for players who haven't registered yet.

Admins can still create payments for unlinked players. When those players eventually sign up and join the club, the link happens automatically.

Unlinked players show an amber "Unlinked" badge.
